Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2021 Bags

The Louvre, one of Paris’ most recognizable sites, hosted Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2021 collection earlier this year. The atmosphere was ideal for the collection that would be showcased on the runway. The show was generally bright, light, and airy, with a plethora of new handbags all paying homage to old Roman and Grecian civilizations.

The Enlightenment served as a major source of inspiration for creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, who based the collection on the purity of the Golden Age. The collection’s overall style was more literal than what we’ve seen from Ghesquière in recent years, including artwork by Italian Atelier Fornasetti. In the brand’s recently published ad campaign, we get a closer look at new bags from the collection, as well as other items.

The New Bags for Fall 2021

While focusing on House icons and fan favorites, this collection explores new shapes and silhouettes. The Troca appears as a gentler sister to the Petite Malle, bearing the same lock mechanism, which is a focal point of the bag. It is one of the collection’s new products and is guaranteed to be a hit. It comes in two sizes: MM and PM.

A number of the bags in the series include beautiful artwork from the Italian Atelier Fornasetti. Nicolas Ghesquière’s current designs are combined with Fornasetti’s wonderfully drawn environment. The artwork can be found on both new and vintage shapes, including the Capucines, Onthego, Dauphine, and others.
